Volunteers Help With Trail Armoring at Mitchell Memorial Forest

Mitchell Memorial Forest Trail Day Recap:

9 volunteers showed up to help armor the trail to prevent further damage during rainfalls.

Stan at Great Parks prepared the trails, identifying areas for improvements. We worked near the end of the trail at around mile markers 3.9 and 0.7-0.9. Volunteers armored sections with flat rocks the park staged along the trail, along with de-berming and cleaning back channels.

Thank you to all of the volunteers who showed up to help improve the sustainability of the trails. There is more work to be done, so be on the lookout for upcoming trail days!
