Bringing a New Urban Trail to Life: CORA’s Collaboration with Dayton, KY

CORA is thrilled to collaborate with the City of Dayton, KY, and Groundwork Ohio River Valley to bring this urban trail to life. Thanks to the support of a L'Oreal Foundation Watershed Improvement Grant and a Recreational Trails Project (RTP) grant from the Commonwealth of Kentucky, the park will soon become a prime destination for local youth and families. Volunteers have been hard at work removing honeysuckle and clearing existing trail corridors, while CORA has engaged with the Dayton Park Board to gather valuable community input for the park's design. With construction anticipated to begin in 2022, the project aims to enhance sustainability, accessibility, and connectivity of the trails by fall 2024. The initial phase includes a mile-long loop, with trails linking Lincoln Avenue to Covert Run Pike and connecting Bellevue, Dayton, Fort Thomas, and unincorporated Campbell County!
