🚴♂️ Our Mission & Vision, Refined
CORA’s mission:
To bring to life a sustainable, world-class trail system in Greater Cincinnati—contributing to the joy, health, and well-being of our neighbors.
CORA’s vision:
To become one of the top community trail systems in the country.
We believe Greater Cincinnati can—and should—be known nationally for its exceptional bike trails, inclusive trail access, and trail-forward community design.
🌍 What Makes a Trail System “World-Class”?
When we talk about a world-class trail system, we’re talking about much more than miles of dirt. We’re talking about trails that are:
✅ Accessible Trails:
Our trails are designed to connect our communities together. Parking, restrooms, and easy-to-navigate trailheads are essential. From parking lots to bike repair stations, clear signage, water access, and even interpretive features—our trails aim to serve all trail users.
✅ Multi-Use:
Our trails are for mountain bikers, hikers, runners, adaptive cyclists, and even one-wheel riders—with thoughtful design that supports coexistence.
✅ Well-Crafted and Terrain-Responsive:
Sustainable construction that flows with Greater Cincinnati’s natural topography, offering fun, challenge, and scenic value.
✅ Future-Ready:
CORA’s trail systems will adapt to emerging trail uses and technologies, including e-assist and community-supported features.
🌻 Inspired by the Nation’s Best Trail Systems
As we build our trail network, we look to the best bike parks and trail systems in the country for inspiration, including:
Bentonville, Arkansas – A national leader in urban-integrated bike infrastructure, Bentonville sets the standard with accessible, adaptive-friendly trails, art-filled greenways, and progressive bike parks—all seamlessly woven into the city.
✅ Why it matters for us: Bentonville shows how trail systems can thrive when they’re designed to be part of daily life—not just destinations.
Knoxville Urban Wilderness, Tennessee – A model for in-town trail connectivity, Knoxville Urban Wilderness features 50+ miles of trails accessible across the south side of the city, with a strong focus on community use and beginner-friendly design.
✅ Why it matters for us: Knoxville proves that trails can coexist with city life—inviting more people outdoors, more often.
These systems set the bar—and we believe Greater Cincinnati can join them.
