Legacy Gifts

Securing the Future of our Trails: Legacy Gifts

At Cincinnati Off-Road Alliance (CORA), we are dedicated to preserving and expanding our natural surface trails for generations to come. While our immediate needs are met through current donations, grants, and volunteer efforts, legacy gifts offer a meaningful way to ensure that our mission continues well into the future.

Legacy gifts, or planned gifts, allow you to support CORA’s work beyond your lifetime. These types of gifts typically require some planning and consultation with your financial advisor or attorney. While most of the work is on the donor’s side, we are here to assist in ensuring that your wishes are correctly implemented.

How to Include CORA in Your Legacy Planning

Including CORA in your estate plans is a straightforward process. You can work with your financial planner or attorney to include a bequest in your will, designate CORA as a beneficiary of your retirement account or life insurance policy, or explore other planned giving options that best suit your needs.

Types of Legacy Gifts

  • Bequests in Wills or Trusts: You may designate a specific dollar amount, a percentage of your estate, or particular assets to CORA in your will or trust. This is a simple way to make a lasting impact on the trails and communities you care about.
  • Gifts of Life Insurance: You can name CORA as the owner and beneficiary of an existing or new life insurance policy. This can provide both financial support to CORA and potential tax benefits to you.
  • Gifts from Deferred Compensation Plans: Retirement plans like IRAs, 401(k)s, or 403(b)s can be a great source for a deferred gift. Simply request a Change of Beneficiary form from your plan administrator and name CORA as a beneficiary.
  • Charitable Remainder Trusts: These trusts may allow you to receive income from your assets during your lifetime, with the remaining assets going to CORA after your passing. It’s a flexible option that can align with your financial goals.

Making It Official

When including CORA in your legacy plans, please ensure you use the correct legal information:

  • Legal Name: Cincinnati Off-Road Alliance

  • Address: 1623 Dalton Avenue, #14587, Cincinnati, OH 45250

The Importance of Communication

If you decide to include CORA in your legacy planning, please let us know. While it’s possible to keep your plans anonymous, informing us allows CORA to honor your wishes and ensure that your gift is used according to your intentions. We can work with you to document your instructions, providing peace of mind that your gift will make the impact you desire.
